Incoming kindergarteners in Nebraska can sign up to receive free picture books mailed to their home! When they register, every week they will get four easy-to-read picture books, plus a family information card mailed to their postal address for up to six months. This program is free.
Working with Kindergarteners
During the late spring and summer of 2024, NGR registered over 3,000 incoming kindergarteners to receive 4 books per week for up to 25 weeks. We are working to procure the funding to allow us to continue this program in the future. Please check back with this site to see updates on the program for next year.
